Look ahead,
It’s time to go,
What’s in store?
I hardly know.

What I see,
A trip ahead,
What I feel,
Is far from dread.

My eyes are wide,
The future bright,
Behind the dark,
Ahead is light.

I close my eyes,
And feel the calm,
That sense of peace,
And no alarm.

To leave behind,
That bitter weight,
And look towards,
A better state.

I draw a breath,
I let it out,
To find my smile,
Is what it’s about.

And no matter what comes,
When I take flight,
My heart will know,
That I’ve done right.

For it’s better to lean,
Towards a goal,
Than sacrifice time,
And not be whole.

So when I wake,
I’ll find my way,
And it will be,
Another day.

And life will find,
A way to heal,
And joy will be,
The thing I feel.

For the moments we step outside our comfort zone, explore, and find our truth.
